It prioritises plant-based ingredients, seasonal produce, and low-waste methods to lower carbon emissions linked to food production. Our Story
Y Siop Fach Sero began as a simple idea: create a space where people, community, and planet come first. Rooted in a commitment to reducing waste and promoting a circular economy, it started as a small zero-waste shop and has grown into a vibrant community hub. Built on years of community development experience, the project was shaped by a clear need, people facing rising living costs, increasing isolation, and limited access to affordable, sustainable choices. Y Siop Fach Sero responds to this by offering more than just products; it provides practical support, connection, and opportunity. At its heart is the belief that small, everyday actions can lead to meaningful change. Through affordable food, climate-conscious cooking, repair and reuse initiatives, and creative activities, the space empowers people to make informed choices while building skills and confidence. The space has evolved into three interconnected strands: a welcoming café and shop, the Croeso Community Hub supporting wellbeing and inclusion, and a Creative Studio encouraging hands-on learning and expression. Together, they create a safe, inclusive environment where underrepresented groups feel valued and supported.
